OZIL WISHES ARSENAL TEAMMATE ELNENY LUCK WITH EGYPT
The Germany international hopes his colleague do well with the Pharaohs in Africa’s biggest football competition in Gabon.
Ozil has wished Mohamad Elneny all the best as Egypt target their eight Africa Cup of Nations title.
The mid fielder who joined Arsenal from Basel last season would be missed in the Gunners squad, as Arsene Wenger would rely on Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka in his first team owing to injuries to Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla.
And Ozil is keen to wish his teammate luck on Twitter. “Hey bro. I wish you best of luck for the African Nation Cup with Egypt.”
Having played a 0-0 draw in their opening game versus Mali, Elneny will be hoping to inspire the Pharaohs to victory against Uganda on Saturday.
Egypt have won the African title for a record seven times, and victory in Gabon would hand them their eight crown – four ahead of joint second most successful teams, Cameroon and Ghana.
