Mother of Tupac dies at 69
Reports suggest that she suffered a possible cardiac arrest at her Sausalito home around 9:34 p.m. Monday and was taken to a local hospital but died just before 10:30 p.m.
Afeni Shakur Davis, the mother of hip-hop legend, Tupac, has died, the Marin County, California, sheriff's office said Tuesday.
The activist and philanthropist in her later years died at age 69.
Reports suggest that she suffered a possible cardiac arrest at her Sausalito home around 9:34 p.m Monday and was taken to a local hospital but died just before 10:30 p.m.
"At this point there is nothing to indicate to us that there was any foul play, nothing suspicious about this other than this being sadly a natural event that has occurred," nydailynews.com quoted Marin County Sheriff's Lt. Doug Pittman to have said.
"She was experiencing some type of physical discomfort. Attempts were made to try to remedy those problems at home, but when they got more severe, it was at that time the family friend called 911 and asked for medical help,” Pittman added.
