Stephen Keshi Dead Family wants autopsy for former Super Eagles coach



According to a report, Ricky Aburime who is the in-law of Stephen Keshi revealed that he died after complaining of pains in his legs.

The family of late former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi wants autopsy to know the cause of death,Vanguard reports


 He was at his family house in Edo State when he died. The former defender Pulse Sportslearnt was scheduled to return to his base in the United States later in the day.
According to the report, Ricky Aburime who is the in-law of the former captain of the Super Eagles revealed that he died after complaining of pains in his legs.\

Ricky said Keshi complained of pain in his leg which was just massaged by a nephew of his, Ebuka.
Just an hour after the massage, Keshi’s ‘countenance change’ and showed sign of depression. He was then rushed to the hospital after he complained but he was dead before on arrival.
Tributes have continued to pour in for the late coach who won two African Cup of Nations with Nigeria; one as a player and the other as coach.
In a statement, Vice-President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajosaid the late footballer’s rich legacy would continue to live in the hearts of Nigerians.

His personal triumphs and pursuits as a world-class professional footballer inspired many young talented sportsmen and women around Africa to strive for excellence,” part of the statement read.
His great work with our youth and senior national teams unified our country and brought joy to many compatriots.
“His feats within and outside the country are a rich legacy which will continue to live on in our hearts.”
Governor of Edo State Adams Oshiomhole in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Peter Okhiria, described the death of Keshi as a great loss to the nation and to Edo State where he was resident.

The Governor described the late Stephen Keshi, fondly called the ‘Big Boss’, as a thoroughbred professional, complete gentleman, a good citizen who impacted positively on his immediate environment where he lived a quiet life.
On behalf of the Government and People of Edo State, I join millions of Nigerians and other sports lovers worldwide to condole with my brother, the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, on the sudden death of this illustrious son of the state,” Oshiomhole said.
